Pollstar’s European correspondent sat with John Giddings at this year’s Reeperbahn Festival in Germany to chat about the state of the industry and much more.

Giddings has been in the game for 40 years, 30 of which as an agent. He went from social secretary at Exeter University to working for MAM, TBA, and founding his own agency, Solo, in 1986.

There’s hardly an a-list artist Giddings hasn’t worked with. He’s also been running the Isle Of Wight Festival for the last 15 years, after reviving it in 2002. Apart from the state of the business, he also shared a couple of personal anecdotes in this interview.
