The band will also play the 50th Isle Of Wight Festival as well as the second edition of TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow, Scotland.

Seems like The Killers enjoyed their recent UK dates so much, they couldn’t wait to return. The Las Vegas-born group headlined the sold-out British Summer Time in Hyde Park on July 8. Throughout November, they played 14 shows in England, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, starting with two nights at Brimingham’s Genting Arena, Nov. 6-7, and closing with two shows at London’s O2, Nov. 27-28.

The band is back in the U.S., where it will continue to tour until Feb. 2, when it plays Salt Lake City’s Vivint Smart Home Arena, before returning to Europe for a Feb. 19 show at Hesinki’s Hartwall Arena in Finland.

Before returning to the UK for the two stadium shows, The Killers will be leaving mainland Europe for South America, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia, as well as The Hangout Beach Music & Arts Fest. on May 18 in Gulf Shores.

The two stadium dates in Swansea and Bolton will be The Killer’s first stadium dates since headlining a sold-out Wembley Stadium in summer 2013.

SJM Concerts promotes the two stadium dates in Swansea (June 23) and Bolton (July 13). They mark The Killer’s first UK stadium shows since headlining a sold-out Wembley Stadium in summer 2013. In between, on July 8, they will be closing the second edition of DF Concerts' TRNSMT Festival in Scotland, which expanded to two weekends in 2018.

Kirk M. Sommer, the band’s agent at WME, told Pollstar: “The June 22, 2013 Wembley Stadium show marked the occasion of nearly a decade of sold-out shows in the UK. We were pleased with the November arena tour on-sale the week leading into the sold-out Hyde Park show and wanted to expand the outdoor show concept for the summer of 2018 around other activity on this album campaign.”

The band’s current EP is called Wonderful, Wonderful. It marked the fifth consecutive UK No. 1 as well as their first No. 1 in the U.S., where they just performed at the “Vegas Strong” benefit concerts at their hometown’s T-Mobile Arena.

The Killers will also play Isle Of Wight Festival’s 50th anniversary, joining a stellar lineup consisting of Depeche Mode, Kasabian, Liam Gallagher, Van Morrison, The Script, James Bay and Blossoms.

The festival, which was recently acquired by Live Nation, takes place June 21-24 next year

Pollstar sat down with the festival’s boss John Giddings at Reeperbahn Festival 2016 in Germany to chat about the state of the industry and much more.
